Dr. Mariana Untalan is a chiropractor originally from Barrigåda, Guam. She moved to the mainland in 2018 to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Biology at the University of Portland. Continuing her education at the University of Western States where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Master of Science in Sports Medicine, and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees graduating summa cum laude with distinction. Dr. Untalan utilizes a diverse range of evidence-informed techniques to deliver comprehensive care, such as Active Release Technique (ART), Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), cupping, and trigger point therapy. Through her training she has also gained experience working with sports injuries, athletic rehabilitation, prenatal and pediatric care, and TMJ dysfunction. Although spinal adjustments are part of her approach, Dr. Untalan places primary emphasis on treating soft tissue dysfunction and incorporating individualized rehabilitation exercises for long-term benefits based on each patient’s specific needs. Dr. Untalan emphasizes helping patients create sustainable, long-lasting changes that support long-term health, functional movement, and an enhanced overall quality of life. Outside of work, Dr. Untalan enjoys staying active through hobbies including snowboarding, hiking, and any ocean-related sports.
