There’s something special about spending a weekend morning strolling through a farmers market—fresh produce in hand, coffee in the other, and the scent of flowers, herbs, and baked goods filling the air. So, if you’re looking for something fun for the whole family to do this weekend, check out one of our favorite farmers' markets around Portland and Lake Oswego:
1. Lake Oswego Farmers' Market
Millennium Plaza Park – Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
This beloved local market is a must-visit for anyone in the Lake Oswego area. With over 80 vendors, live music, hot food, and a stunning lakefront setting, it’s more than just a shopping trip—it’s a whole experience. You’ll find everything from seasonal fruit and veggies to fresh flowers, handmade soaps, and artisan bread.
2. Portland Farmers Market at PSU
South Park Blocks – Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Portland State University market is one of the largest and most popular in the region. Set under shady trees near downtown, it features 100+ vendors during peak season. Grab a breakfast burrito, sip on cold brew, and shop for everything from pasture-raised meats to local honey and handmade cheeses.
3. Beaverton Farmers Market
12375 SW 5th St – Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Just a short drive from Portland and Lake Oswego, this market is known for its wide selection of produce and family-friendly vibe. In addition to fresh foods, there’s often live music and cooking demos. It’s a great place to bring the kids and make a morning of it.
4. Hillsdale Farmers Market
1405 SW Vermont St – Sundays, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Nestled in Southwest Portland, this market is smaller and more low-key but still packed with high-quality goods. It's a local favorite for organic produce, pasture-raised eggs, small-batch kombucha, and seasonal specialties. Bonus: It's not far from Gabriel Park if you want to make it a morning outing.
And while you are there, make sure to stock up on all the seasonal produce from your favorite stand! Fruits and veggies in season now include:
Fruits: blueberries, raspberries, cherries, peaches, and apricots.
Vegetables: cucumbers, corn, peppers, summer squash, zucchini, and tomatoes.
