It’s May in Oregon, which means it’s officially farmers’ market season! Wherever you find yourself around town — North Portland, East side, West side — there is sure to be a market worth walking through. Here are our 4 favorites:

1. Lake Oswego Farmers’ Market

  • Where: Millennium Plaza Park, Lake Oswego
  • When: Saturdays | May – October

This is the local favorite, and for good reason. Set right on the lake, the Lake Oswego Farmers’ Market is one of the largest and most popular in the area. It’s walkable, scenic, and a great way to spend a Saturday morning moving your body while supporting local farmers and makers.

2. Beaverton Farmers Market

  • Where: Beaverton City Park
  • When: Saturdays | February – November

One of the largest farmers' markets in Oregon, Beaverton’s market is known for its diversity and abundance. If you love options, this market delivers. It’s also a great place to try new foods and expand your weekly meal planning.

3. Montavilla Farmers Market

  • Where: SE Stark Street (Montavilla neighborhood)
  • When: Sundays | May – October (winter market runs Nov–Apr every other week)

A true neighborhood favorite with a strong focus on local, small-scale farms and sustainable practices. Montavilla is known for its thoughtful vendor curation, so everything feels intentional and high-quality. It’s a great option if you want a slightly more low-key, community-focused market without sacrificing variety.

4. Milwaukie Farmers Market

  • Where: Milwaukie Bay Park, Milwaukie
  • When: Sundays | May – October

Just a short drive from Lake Oswego, the Milwaukie Farmers Market offers a beautiful waterfront setting along the Willamette River with a strong focus on local and sustainable goods. The location makes this one feel a little more like an outing than an errand. It’s a great spot to walk, grab breakfast or coffee, and enjoy a slower-paced Sunday morning.
